Trinidad, Colorado

Trinidad, Colorado is located on the peninsula between the upper and lower levels of the railroad.  The penninsula is comprised of about two scale miles of track on a 1.44% grade connecting Castle Rock on the lower level to Santa Rosa on the upper level.  The Trinidad area consists of several mine tracks and a small engine servicing area with 70' turntable and small roundhouse.  In addition to the mines in Trinidad there are two other mine areas on the peninsula.  These mines will be a mix of coal and hard rock mines.
