It has been a while since our last update, so there is a lot to tell. After
finishing the mainline last September we took a break from railroad building and
tackled the Crew Lounge. We pulled old carpet, stripped and refinished
walls, layed new carpet tiles and installed wall board and a small desk
in the new Dispatcher's Office. You have to take care of off duty equipment
too. So we added a 5' x 8' display cabinet for resting locomotives and
rolling stock. |
What's next... We are working on moving all of the operating software from the laptop where we did the development to the new computer in the Dispatcher's Office. We would like to finish all of the basic scenery shell so you will not be able to look through the benchwork. Dipping paper towels in hydrocal is very messy and generates a lot of dust so we are going to try the plaster inpregnated gauze on the remainder of the railroad. Next update - when we have time. Thanks for visiting. |

In the railroad room we have been working some cosmetic and comfort issues.
Curtains are being hung from the fascia to hide the storage area beneath the railroad.
The floor has been covered with foam tiles to ease the stress on
operator's legs. Location signage has been placed on the fascia to aid navigation. |
